Hi there, I was sadly forced to use this motherbaord because a client wanted a slimtop casing and the damn motherboard was in this casing, practically married to casing.

I installed suse 10.2 on there. In the end I had to put in another nic, casue the other one refused to work.

At any rate many thanks for your info o your site, it helped me solve the other issues.

Thanks, nerd.

A very informative article. I too found that Debian Etch could not recognise the onboard network card and my 22 inch Proview LCD is only capable of 1280x1024 when I had seen it work well at 1680x1050.

I have changed the distribution from etch to testing in /etc/apt/sources.list and am now running "apt-get dist-upgrade" (have done this once before with no problems whatsoever). Hopefully replacing xserver-xorg with xserver-xorg-video-intel will fix it.

(I actually paid someone who I thought understood Linux to put this box together for me a friend did likewise. But we have both since spent the best part of a week and a half trying to get them to work properly.)
